Eheim 2217 Flow Picture

Don't know if this is worth anything to anyone, but here is a pic of how far the spraybar shoots water in my 125 gallon tank. Anyone else have pictures of other filters for reference?

I had the same problem, I think its becuase the 2217 uses 16/22mm tubing on the flow side and 12/16mm on the return side. I drilled extra holes in between the holes on the spraybar and closed the taps slightly to compensate for this.

Running what came with it. Bottom is the eheim noodles, then a course pad, then the eheim smaller media, the a fine pad.........it's filled too! I like the amount of flow, I don't see it as a problem........ I am impressed! It's moving all the debris to my AQ 110 on the other side.......It's aimed toward the top so there isn't too much current in the tank..........just nice aeration on top.

I had the same pressure on my 2217, which was way too much for my tank so I also drilled holes in my spray bar. Drilled some pointing different directions too, to get the kind of flow that I wanted.

Same from my 2217, such a great filter. I need more pressure though! 3500lph sump here we come!

Yep, that's pretty much normal water flow from the 2217. I run two on my 180 gallon and one 2217 on my 65 gallon tank. Great filters!

Flow stays consistent over time with the 2217 unlike my xp3

thats really good, wow. my xp3 only goes a few inches
