Eheim 2217 noise???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was having problems with my 2215 a while back being really loud, even though it had been set up for a number of years prior. It turned out that the ceramic shaft wasn't seated correctly and was shaking, so it might be a worth a look to make sure that everything is seated correctly before selling it.

Not sure how to check that but i will try. Thanks

if you take the top part (the section with the motor) off and look at the underside of it there will be a piece that sticks up with holes in it. That is the guard for the impeller, sometimes it isn't locked in place and it rattles. Just be mindful that the shaft is just ceramic so it can break if you're not careful.
