Eheim 2217 questions (canister newbie)

Ah I see once I turned it on I knew it needed to go under, I feel like this spray bar is really basic, the U bend is so shallow it doesn't even reach my water level so I had to put it in vertically lol looks goofy but works until I can replace it. The waters about 3-4 inches low on in my tank to give the air-breathers room to breach

Going good! This things awesome, I'm probably never going to buy an HOB again lol. It came w/ media so I'm using that, bio balls and sponge no carbon. I really just need a better spray bar lol. Doing a great job keeping things spotless

Priming it is kind of a pain but not that big of a deal, only complaint I have about this so far

2217 is a great canister. Luckily you won't have to worry about priming it more than once. They are so quiet and flow pretty well. Since I got my 2 2217s, I don't think I'll ever shop for another brand filter

XPL is a solid performance filter. The only complaint is the materials are a bit more brittle.
