Eheim 2217 vs. 2 AC110's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd rather have the canister. Much quieter and less noticeable I think.

I use one AC110 that covers the mechanical, and one Eheim 2217 that covers the Bio. 100 gal with one large Flowerhorne. Works great! ;)

I would agree this probably being the best combo. What would your tank look like without the AC110?

I honestly believe it would make no difference. It just feels good to have AC110 on there. (Feel the power):D

Well, I think 2217 wins. I think I'll do that first and then go for the AC110 as needed.

Howdy,

Eheim all the way. However, I think a 2217 is much too small for your tank. I am running a 2217 on my 40 gal :WHOA:. I had it on my 75 gal with one Hoplias, but it wasn't quite enough flow. For a 125 gal, I suggest you look for a 2250 or 2260.
