:nilly: Any experts out there think he could use some loc tite or another threading compound ? Or do these pumps have to come off often?

Joe I am not trying to knock ya buddy but you gotta have patience and a steady hand when it comes to equipment of this caliber. I really hope someone can help you here.

If the threads for the screw holes that mount the pump to the mounting plate are stripped out, you can always use a smaller diameter bolt & nut to mount the pump.

Howdy,

A MFK'r tested his 2262 before cleaning it and it was down to just over 300 GPH.

Yeah, with filter floss. Eheim recommends against using it in its largest filter (rapid clogging), but I like my water polished :D

How about trying screws that are slightly thicker?

ok thx for all the sound advice maybe i get a overhead filter and pump for the mechanicalfiltration bit . oh yea since the pump is mounted on the 2260 i think i screwed it on too tightly causing 2/4 of the screws to cross thread . now only 2of the 4 screws are intact . this causes the pump to run nosily due to vibrations . anyway i can remedy this? thx so much once again:) cheers

You can try using a slighty large screw or more aggresive screw.
