Eheim 2262 leaking

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They are once they're set up correctly.
Jaws just got it, and this is his first time assembling it.

Jaws, try lubricating your o-rings. All of them. Then tighten fittings lightly with your fingers. Do not use excessive force, and no tools.

Good luck.

So far everything is running smooth. No leaks i thinkni did tighten everything up a lol too tight thought...dont wanna touch it though lol....didnt use tools.

I'll tell ya one thing i had an fx6 on this tank this morning no way does it compare to the 2262 in terms of water movement...i have fake plants that didnt move an inch with the fx6...now they look like they are in a hurricane. Tried to feed the fish it blww the food clear across the tank lol

Best is to modify this canister by removing the pump and connect it with elbow by hose..you remove all vibrations away from canister and make it near silent :)

Do you have a photo of your setup? Looking to change mine around or hard plumb it...

Well cleaning is a bit awkward because of all hoses and i dont have quick disconnect valves but whole thing is just humming while running..if pump is attached to the lid its like having a plane in the house :)

You could add the valves fairly easily, couldnt you?

Nice mod...wolf what is the motor sitting on ? Is that a rubber band around it ?

I could get valves but originals are damn expensive..but will do in future definetely to make it more simple :)

Pump sits on towel and yes there is rubber band around..back cover used to make rattling noise so now only hummmmm ;)

For like less than $20 you could pick up some unions, ball valves, and threaded barbs. I broke a quick disconnect on a smaller eheim canister. They wanted over $50 online for replacement set. Craaaaazy
