I've got some Seachem Pond Matrix in one of my 2260's. I'm using it because it is larger than just Matrix.

I rinsed it first to remove any fines. It is a bio media so it shouldn't 'remove' any additives for plant dosing.

How much did you use? And did you lay the
EhfiMech rings down first {how much 5-10L}
than EhfiFix {2-5L}
then Pond Matrix {4-20L}

Was there any difference in using Pond Matrix then the regular Matrix

I've always used Eheim Media with good results
just getting info on others , A Eheim 2260 or 2262 are 5gal's to fill $$$

How much did you use? It varies depending on which media I used.

... did you lay the EhfiMech rings down first {how much 5-10L} I used 5L of it. It is the 1st media layer after the bottom lattice screen.

...than EhfiFix {2-5L} I don't use Ehfifix. I use Poret foam cut to size in varying pore sizes.

...then Pond Matrix {4-20L} I use either Ehfi Substrat Pro or Seachem Pond Matrix or a combination of both. This media is placed in a media bag to facilitate filter maintenance. I use between 10L and 15L, depending on how much Poret foam I used.

Was there any difference in using Pond Matrix then the regular Matrix? I've only used Pond Matrix because it is a larger diameter and I didn't want to lose any through the media bag holes.

Hey Deeda what size of pore of Poret foam did you use , 10ppi,20ppi, or 30ppi
IMO: I think 10ppi would be best after the EhfiMech rings and 30ppi for the last
{on top}

I'm used 10PPI after the EhfiMech and I think 20PPI after the bio media. I'll check next time I clean the filter.
