OK so my Eheim is on sale I'm sure I touched on this before but how do you folks rate Eheim support? I've never been one for just email support at all. I know parts can also be $$. Or are they just about like any other company both good and bad matters on timing? Allot of times the big money companies with great products leave something to be desired in the support department?

The only problems I had with eheim in 17 years were:
1) a pos that is their wet dry canister...interesting in concept but pretty bad execution and too many moving parts to make it work...the only piece of eheim I got rid off.
2) o ring on one professional 2 filter after about 7 years in service. It started to leak after a filter cleaning. Spare parts were ordered from big al...

In general I would keep at least one main o ring as a backup as that part is the most likely part to give you trouble, as it is the only part that user touch, compress and sometime abuse during filter maintainance...

This is a complete and utter whim with no logical reason behind it. Now can I blame this on being senile or am I just crazy? Arodini, I love your commment on not having used it nor do you want to try......thats Great Stuff.......LOL!!! I don't need this filter I have a perfectly good filter running now that it would replace. So here's my plan sometime between now and the end of the week I'm going to pop a Xanex at about 3pm or so then by six I can go online and should be very relaxed

A year ago, I would have bought 3 GIANT Eheims for this very reason. I bought a lot of stuff I couldn't understand why when it came.
Eheims are well made filters. Know lots of people who have them. Know little about their customer support because their filters are very reliable. Same goes for AquaClears.
