eheim canister intake setup for deep tank.

Hi eheim canister users. how do you setupo you eheims intakle tube if your tank is quite deep, let say 2.5 ft?
i've had problem with my canisters intake since it was too short, i used a hose as extension but it doesn't lokk good :(
can you post pics of your modified canister intake tube?
 
thanks can you post a picture of the intake? whats at the end of the pvc pipe? did you attach the a grill? or a prefilter?
I'll try to get a 1 " pvc:)
 
Just use the upgrade kit two and use more sections. My 2080 has 5 sections on both intakes. It's on my 150, which is 30" tall.
 
upgrade kit? so i can buy an upgrade kit for eheim?

i guess i cut up the pipes pf my eheim and it doesn't look nice :(

I can get a picture later tonight. BUt what I did was like this:
1" PVC - | |
1" to 1.5" adapter - | |
1.5" Coupling - | |
1.5" standard strainer- | |
--

the 1-1.5" adapted sits inside the coupling on one end and the standard strainer I just used ABS/PVC glue on the edges and held them together until the glue set.

Ok my stick diagram above isn't working.
