eheim filter

im considering 2 eheim 2128 canister filters with the built in heater for my 180 how good are these filters and how well does the heater work

The heater works really well... but I have it on my 40g with a Jebo 838 as well, and I feel like those together are doing an adequate job. You may have to go bigger for your 180.

on that size tank i would get a separate heater or two with a controller. its not terribly expensive and you would get a more accurate temperature.

that aside i have always been happy with eheim filters

so even with 2 (two) eheim 2128 i would need more filteration 2 cascade 1500 and 2 aquaclear 110 but my water never ever seems clear

I was saying if those two Eheims were your only filtration, you would probably need more. You could always try micron filter pads to polish the water if you want it clear.

the two 2128s may be more then enough filtration for your 180. A lot will depend on what and how much fish you stock. Biologically you will not have any issues, you may find that the mechanical filtration is lacking though.
