About to pull the trigger but am not sure it will be going into a 80 planted will be upgrading to a very larger 300+ in the immediate future so want to spend less upgrading I see from threads it's a good one what do you guys think

I have 2 of them in the 225 (5'x2'x3' wide) they are amazing. Never had a problem with them. I would recomend them highly above some of the other cheaper brands I have tried over the years
 
Pretty simple. Set it to the temp you want, position it so that even when u do wc its completely submerged, then plug it in.

I don't think it has turned on but am monitoring with a cheap thermometer might have to buy a few good ones I do live in Vegas Nv and it is normally about 78 in the house or I try to keep it there

Yeah I could probably get away with just one on my 225, but because its 3 feet wide and it gets really cold here I would rather have too much than too little
