Eheim jager troubles.

My 300watt 2 month old jager won't turn off, the amber light stays on constantly no matter what the dial is set at, tried putting it in a bucket of scalding 108f water, still on, tried 60f water same. Wtf is wrong with it? I assume its stuck on?

Any help, advice or words would be great. Thx

Trash it? I'm not sure if dealing with CSRs is even worth it. I'd just go buy a new one.

Sounds like stuck on.warm to the touch? Led could be malfunctioning.maybe they help at csr.

Drfosters&smith.com pretty sure they make you send IT back to manufacturer, either way its the holidays and that's 7-10 days without a heater, right now I have it on a timer, 1hr on 1hr off, and the temp is stable at 79 so I guess that works till I can fetch a new one. Still dont understand how it gets "stuck on," I've used crap 250watt 20$ tetra Walmart heaters for 2+ years with no problems, then I upgrade to a German made jager and 2 months later it craps out.....

I have the same problem with my 300w heater, but a different brand. Running it on my 240g 24/7.

So does the heater ever turn off or is on all the time?
