Just curious if anyone (harleyk) has any info on the rest of the line. I know they came out with the 2180 which is just a thermo version. But I hear there is also 2 smaller sized pro 3s. One that is set for 180, and one for 125, roughly... I might be able to trash some of those stupid fluval 404s, for a new pro 3 for a 125... :D

Yeah, I did trash mine for some eheims, but both 2028s that I got had bad impellers, so I upgraded to the 2080. :) Love that filter, but it won't fit under my 135.

wont fit under? is your tank so low to the ground?
it is strange that so little is known about the new pro 3 series. ive never seen them in a shop here, except for the 2080. are they fully out already??

I think they may have become available to retailers. My 135s stand is 24" tall, but the pro 3 is 24 without the connector. It is just half an inch too short. Plus it moves too much water for my planted tank. But the one for a 180 gallon (I think thats what it is rated to) is just right.

From what I understand the 2176 and the 2178 haven't been imported yet. Considering how well the 2180 has sold they may NOT be. Unless you're buying direct from Eheim there's not enough of a margin to stock the filters in a store. Wholesale $395, online $399. I'd think 1% not enough to entice me. Dan

Actually they are being imported. My LFS has a wholesaler that is bringing them in.

That's a great question. I have heard rumors about the Pro 3 w/ heater, but that's all. But rumors are not good enough: I just sent an e-mail to Eheim headquarters in Germany. I'll keep you posted.
