The heater one is available to my LFS it is the 2180. They were told that in the next few weeks the other two should be available. Can't wait to hear what eheim's going to say. Maybe a MFK discount?

They'd sell directly to you too if you give them a $150K order initially. Waht I'm trying to say is that many of the previous Eheim distributors no longer deal with Eheim and some of the ones that still do don't buy this particular line because of the margin. Also they don't sell well.
@ $400 I see why its not selling well when you have fx5, xp4 and sumps. Still surpised to not see anykind of review though.
Eheim has an authorized dealer program giving dealers wishing to stock Eheim's line and parts a discount usually below sale prices of regular drygood wholesale distributors. The price I quoted is the discounted price to "authorized dealers." ($395) Comparing dollars to marks and allowing anyone buying direct to make ANY money, $319 is about 25% below the "special price" without the media and another $100 below the price including media. You bought this unit at a STORE ??

Even allowing for some sort of promo, initially, it's not the sweet spot in the line. Maintenance firms still choose the 2260, empty. They fill it with whatever they've found cheap or that they've made to be cheap. The valve's are purchased at home improvement stores.

From Eheim germany. They are cheap on items for people that shop regularly. I got 2 eheim 2028 filters for $175 each.
Okay, there is some exciting new stuff coming out, mainly for the "smaller" /\/\onster tanks, though. I assume once it is established there, they may introduce it in the bigger filters as well.
