Why did you replace the Fx5 if it was doing a greatjob by the sounds of it??? So! you upgraded to a Eheim pro 2078 which isn't doing such a greatjob!? Doesn't make sense.Eheim canisters! are known to have a weak/poor flow rate APART from the 2260/2262.If i were you,i would have kept the Fx5..BUT if i really wanted to replace it with a Eheim,i would have got the 2260/2262 which has a good amount of flow!Then you would not be experiencing the problems you are now,your problems ie floaties/oily surface are caused because your flow rate is to weak! That's the Eheim pro series for you.I read so many problems with Eheim and there flow rate,ive seen it myself.Stick with the Fx5 or 2260/2262 then you will no longer have any problems.Pro series suck!
