Eheim Pro 3e Problems

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had that problem. If they aren't running vertically enough, they won't run enough water.

Weee well today after letting the Pro3e just site there unplugged for a few days I decided to give it another shot. Pulled everything apart... and noticed that when i took the intake out the water wasnt really draining from teh tubing. Humm i think to myself, this is weird. Pull the intake 2" part off and pow water spills out back into the tank. great... so what up with my intake... Wellll.. It turns out that in the shipping box direct from Eheim there was another plastic part wedged into the intake!!!! popped that out and now i have a filter that works. And it started up in about 10 seconds as it should have!

Seems like a pretty sweet filter now that it's working :) thanks for everyones help.

Ah ha! So eheim has some tricks up their sleeves! :D Glad to hear its up and running! I love mine so far. Killer bio and mech filtration.

Said the guy who just bought 3 eheims........Granted, not Pro 3's...But Still.....

My Pro 2 (2028) has worked like a charm!

The Classics, I have had to do the Powerhead Trick, but have been working fine since.....

Good Luck, Keep us updated, since the Pro 3 is on my Xmas List!

Pro 2s and pro 3s are both nothing compared the pro 3es!

Do you want to recant your last...............You contradicted yourself!!!! pro 3's are nothing compared to pr 3'es???????:D

Pro 3's are one line, pro 3e's are a seperate line. They are two completely different filters. A pro 2 and a pro 3 have more in common than a pro 3 and pro 3e.

Yup, I would agree with that 100%. I've got a Pro 2 2028, awesome filter (i'd buy another in a second), not at all like the Pro3e though. I've got a 2229 and a 2028 on one 125g and a pro3e on another 125 gallon to do the same work. So we shall see.

I've had my pro3e running at full bower for the past 6hrs or so now. Going to try out some of the fancy techie options in a few days :) Will report back what I think.
