Well after searching online for a good quality filter and doing some research on the different brands, i've come to a conclusion that i want to run a EHEIM on my 150 fresh.. so far i have a diy wet dry and i wanted to add some meachanical filtration and a little more flow...
There's a guy selling a Eheim Pro II 2028 for $200 with extra spray bar. He had the filter running for about 2 months now on his planted...

DEAL or NO DEAL?

any questions i should ask him before i purchase?
anything i should check out? i never owned eheim let alone a canister filter so this will be a little new to me..

if it is full of media, i would say its a good deal. I have one going on 9 years now, and I have never had to replace any parts. Works well, and super quiet.

I have two of these babies running on my 120 gallon, works wonders extremely quite and have a good turn over rate.

For $200 is not bad.. but like the others said.. if filter pads are included... Def good.. if not.. its not worth it.. Brand new is about $240-$270 and the filter pads AREN'T CHEAP..

I'm currently running EHEIM PRO II 2128 on my 150gallon, 2128 has a build in 210watt heater.. rated for 160 gallon... so its perfect for any 150gallon tanks...

I'll attach a vid of my 150gallon using the eheim pro ii.... they are great filters. and not as hardcore as the EHEIM PRO III series..

Well I'm sure the filter pads are included but they are being currently used. It's a planted tank with a whole bunch of tetras.

again.. if the guy is including the filter pads.. then its a good deal.. i paid $150 for mine used.. with no filter pads/ substrate or media

Am I the only one with a bad experience with eheim? I had a 2026, pump head died and they would not warranty it.
