I have a bunch of leftover Eheim Substrat (the non-pro, rocky version). I have noticed that the basket mesh with the Pro 3e 2078 is not as fine as it was with my old 2028, which contains the old Substrat. I would like to transfer over some of the Substrat from the old 2028 to the 2078 to get the biological filtration jump started.
Has anyone used the old Substrat version with the newer Eheims? Is there an issue with the smaller pieces getting into the impeller?
