im getting one 35mm hole drilled into my weir bottom as an outlet and i am running two of the 5000 pumps. this is what my aquarium builder has advised me but my flow from tank to sump will be something like 6" of pipe with no bends in, so its virtually unchallenged. im unsure if pipework with multiple bends (from multiple weirs) will impact your flow rates or not.
