Eheim Universal 1262 pump leaking

If you haven't replaced the sealing ring, it may solve the problem if you do. It's possible there is a small nick in the o-ring or that it has become 'flattened' from use. Two years isn't a long time but the o-ring is considered a normal replacement item and if you happen to frequently disassemble the pump for cleaning, that could contribute to the need to replace it more frequently.

I have also noticed that if the holding ring (latch) isn't a snug fit, it is probably due to wear of the o-ring.
 
i notices that problem with 6 months of use.. what i did with my 2x 2262s are by putting 2 layers of plumping teflon tape around where the o-ring sits (pump cover with bushing) and that should solve the problem..all you need is adding little bit of distance where the o-ring seals the pump casing.. i then put some lubacate on the o-ring just in case..
 
I have one more question about Eheim 1262.
The pump has a vibration when mounted on the filter canister.
How to solve the problem?
I tried with sponge, etc. between pump and canister.

Check that the rubber isolators are in good condition between the pump mounting bracket and the filter lid.

I have also slightly loosened the pump mounting screws to eliminate the noise with good results.
