Hi all.

The good ol debate.

Lets settle it. I don't want any of this I use this therefore it rocks stuff, pure facts.

What would do better for a 720L, 190gal, 6' tank? Tell me why. I am thinking of a Fluval fx5 or a eheim professional 3

Also if you have a suggestion for a filter that self primes that will work, do tell.

EHEIM

FX5

I've never owned an Eheim filter, but my FX5 works great! As far as the priming goes on the FX5, you fill the canister with 2g of H2O and it does the rest! Good flow rate, price isn't bad, easy maintanence...

Thats what i'd love, because my cabinet is cramped I can't afford to go down beneath all the time and fiddle with nobs and stuff that my un self priming filter does.

FX5 because of superior flow which is a big factor on a tank that size. Now if you were comparing the eheim 2262 to the fx5 id go eheim for sure. Also the fluval burbps itself self priming very easy to install and use.

yep, after you put 2g of H2O in the canister, slap the hoses back on top and plug in the power, it forces water in/out through the hoses which forces the air out.

It would be an eheim 2080
Did you make the decision?I am not sure if I understand your post they both burp air automatically.
