:ROFL:You gotta tell us what size tank.

In general, I much prefer the Classic series (22xx), for cost and reliability.
I wouldn't touch the 2080 with a 10' pole. Search for my name and 2080 in this forum, and you'll see what I mean ... :barf:

:headbang2 live and learn. Atleast you can prevent others from a mistake right. And you got a nice clean 75 don't you?

hows about i hook up the sterilizer to the fx5?

Your Coralife TT 18w uv sterilizer is rated for 200-400 gph. An FX5 and 2262 have 900 gph. Which means the water flows by too fast to be sterilized - you may just as well not use the sterilizer then. You could a) get a lower output pump or b) split the outlet and channel half the flow thru the sterilizer.

thanks harley, i already have a rio 800 and was planning to just connect direclty with the sterilizer. if i do option a) and do as youve told wouldnt particles/debris eventually clog up my sterlizier even though i do place the pump near the outlet of the FX5?

Howdy,

When I said "pump" I meant the filter's pump, e.g. Eheim 2250 with 264 gph.
