i'm sure both have there goods and bads..

But i'm an eheim guy :D I own two 2234 and 2213 and i love them.. They are very easy assemble and their great filters...

They carry EHEIM in petco and petsmart.... but prices there are expensive... its cheaper if u order from amazon or ebay... as for top of the line filter.. for big tanks.. I find FX5 to be better than 2260 or 2262..
well my petsmart deffinetly does not carry them. lol , so for the most part it soundsl ike a tie. im very happy with the results of my rena, and i would never buy a fluval. if this makes anything differance the canister filter i am looking for is for a 55 G and for a 30 G...thanks for all the info guys

in my opinion, comparing an eheim to a rena is similar to comparing a bmw to a ford and no offense to ford owners. fords are good cars but . . . it's just that eheim has that german quality, just a fluval does.

I'm in the market and I think I'll go with the rena 3's, looks like I could have two for the price of one of the others. I saw on their website they have a two year warrenty.
What are the problems with the Rena 4's?
I've always been a chevy kind of guy.
