I purchased an Aqueon siphon several months back to help me do large water changes on my 75 gallon tank. I have decided to go with a larger gravel substrate instead of a fine gravel/stand substrate. I was wondering if anyone has been able to enhance the strength of these types of siphons. I feel like when I clean the gravel there is still gravel that sits at the bottom. Im guessing my only options are to either connect a pump, which I do not feel like doing, or changing the head of the siphon so that is covers a smaller areaa and increases the suction strength.

Let me know if anyone has done this before.

Thanks!!

You have a couple options
You could raise the height of your tank creating more pressure via gravity
You could use a pump like you said
Or you could leave the faucet running
About all I can think of
