did I spell traits wrong? like passed down genes like colors, and etc. but I don't know why my jaridini always go into a die mode once every month? it always last like 1 week or 2 week to recover back. right now my jaridini is in die mode now almost 1 week now.

I see, like a genetic trait. Hmmm, I don't think so, but I'm certainly not an expert on jardini.

BTW ..... if it is indeed black spot disease from parasites, you should be able to see of feel the black spots - they will be raised up from the scales. The pic in the following link is a good example of what I am describing. On that juvenile pike you can see how the spots are raised.

And below is a paper written by my local govt, with additional pics.

ya I see 1 of the big black spot raised up. the small one I cant see so well if its raised up or not. you can see the pic that you showed me some small black spot the spot don't raise up. the big black spot raised up and small black spot don't.

Then I think you have your answer ....

What is going on in death mode? It may be a separate issue from the black spots.

The parasites can be irritating to a fish, my guess is that's what's causing the fish to act erratic.

Most likely right RD, I was probably projecting my idea of "death mode" onto the op's comment.

You can see from the pic my fish look like it's dead l, it was like this whole week with his body shape like a U.
