Pristis zijsron - Green sawfish / Longcomb sawfish

Em- I got your voicemail, sorry, I was in and out of cell range all weekend. To answer your question, that is a male in one shot, and a female in the other. Only known male/female pair together in captivity (at this point). Sadly they will never be bred since they only breed in freshwater, then move back to salt - and these are being housed in full strength salt. Right now I only know of 6 in the US. The rostrum teeth are missing due to misguided feeding methods of offering food on the end of a pole, and then allowing their normal "side swipe" hunting instinct to ram the feeding poles. :(

I see what you mean about the missing teeth. Do they know about how they should be fed? I mean maybe train them with targets and have them receive food by a pole with a bend in it. Just a thought. Ok enough talk heres a pic of a shark to ID should be fairly easy. I'm asking for latin and common to get it.

Yeah, I'll confirm for her (since she is at work again- haha). It's a Uranak (Honeycomb). That one is at The Downtown Aquarium - Houston.
