We didn't get him! He was spooked by the motor. I catch and release everything anyway. My Dad and Grandpa were kinda nervous whemn I was at the helm againsed a Shark. I did, however on that trip catch 7 Spotted Seatrout, a Barracuda, a Dogtooth Snapper, and a Sea Catfish.

My pics are on my cell phone, but my Grandpa has some pix of the Stingray. Has anyone here been to Punta Gorda and seen the area where I caught it?

Although there are some things I left out: Twice both me and the guide were fooled into thinking I hooked a fish while trawling after I got the 'Cuda: I hooked the bottom and I hooked a floating stick that was skipping the surface a few hundred feet back.
The Barracuda was caught on a 6-inch Yo Zuri plug. Don't get the wrong image, it was only about a foot and a half. He took a plug as big as his HEAD! The Seatrout took DOA Shrimp lures under popping corks. One Seatrout pooped on me, that tallies the list of fish species that defended themselves from me in that manner: 4.
We were going for Snook at the end. I was using an Exude Slug while the guide put out a live Threadfin:irked: and he hooked up, then gave me the rod to fight the fish. I was thinking "I'm gonna get a Snook."
But...
...It was just a really really big/fat Sea Catfish.:duh:
We saw Porpoises (not Dolphins) Manatees, Eagle Rays (big ones, 6 ft wide) Cownose Rays, Southern Stingrays, Bull Shark.

Ok, I want specifics! Not just Hammerhead Shark. In fact, Hammer isn't even in it's name...

Oh no - gonna bust out some of the dusty knowledge in the back of my head and show off:

Eusphyra blochii - Wingheaded Shark. :D

I no one would get that! Your turn, but give me a minute...I need some time to cry...:screwy::grinno::naughty::):nilly::D;) lol.
Just kidding. Yeah, you got it.
