Electric blue acara

A couple months ago one of my lfs had EB Acaras that we're about 4-5" each for $24. I was so tempted to get one or two but didn't have any room for them. What is considered the adult size for these guys?
 
Tons of people have them. They are everywhere now. They breed 100% true -- all my fry were electric blue. They are not weak like EB Jack Dempseys. Mine ended up being about 5" as adults.
 
That sounds very encouraging! I will get some the next time I see them available for sale. In the meantime, would like to see photos of adults that anyone might have.
 
I have had one for about a year now i would say 5.5in. In my experience do not over feed. They will eat for hours if you let them. Mine got stopped up for a bit, but I dropped a little epsom salt in the tank and he passed the blockage.
 
Oh they have to be the alpha of the tank or you won't enjoy their personality. Like a dog. Very docile and weak so they go into die mode when stressed very easy. Good for community tank only.
