i don't think that aquamojo is into hybrids. if that pic is from that site, i would bet that it is not a hybrid. if i am wrong, then i would be surprised.
if it has the head and face pearls like that fish, i would buy it in a second. that fish is beautiful. i have never heard them called "electric blue" before. i have heard them called "blue texas" though.

I agree with the fact that aquamojo is not into hybrids but this photo is just an example. I think the fish is either line breed or just a color varient.

i think its just an incredibly nice escondido, its listed as one on aquamojo's site

Just a regular Escondido. Not hybrid. So I say line bred.

Mo doesn't do hybrids. His photo is of a H. carpintis "Escondido".

I'd say the name is just a LFS trick to get you to buy more fish. Odds are it's a carpinits; probably not even Escondido.

there is a thread that is a discussion of whether the ACA should allow hybrids or not. i hate to speak for anyone so you should search for ACA and it is currently on page 2. i don't believe his fish is line bred either. if you read the thread, you will see why i say that.

it looks like a carpinits tampoal i believe its the blue base that makes it look like that. i wanted to order some at my lfs but they are hard to come by.
