Electric blues will never catch up to the oscars. EBs max out at about 6" and are slow growers. Your Oscars will grow over twice that. Sciaenochromis fryeri is what we're talkin about I assume?
It is also not a mix of fish alot of people would recommend. Not saying it doesn't get done or that it will cause problems.
If indeed we are talking about an EBJD, then this is wrong forum.

Electric blue - can be new world or hap or mbuna or a peacock all reach different sizes. A pic would help. Either or 55 gal of water is too small for 1 oscar let alone 2 and another unidentified fish.
