OK, I have an electric blue dempsey and 2 convict in a 75 gallon, well aparently the convicts are male and female....there are eggs, I have heard the convicts will kill off anything that gets near there spawn, should I remove the dempsey, kill the eggs or will he be ok???

I would definitely remove the EBJD. Even if you do remove the eggs, a couple of cons will eventually snap at some point and attack him, and you really don't wanna lose a nice fish like that to a couple of convicts. What size are all of the fish?

I had a bristlenose in a 40 gal with a pair of convicts and the male harrassed him non-stop. Kept him in a high corner of the tank...this went on for a couple of weeks until I eventually removed him and he's thriving now.

The Cons will dominate that tank and have EBJD sushi for days to come if hes not removed. Never had problems with Plecos & Cons, but the plecos I had were always WAY bigger than the Cons.

Ive had a spawning pair of Cons take over 75% of a 125g keeping a RD, a Trimac & Festae in the other 25% and that same pair took over 50% of a 265g with many bigger fish in it. Size DOESNT matter and removing the eggs will only put off the inevitable.

so I guess I have a 75 gallon tank that soon will be full of Convicts....LOL
now to get another 75G for the Jack and albino BN.

You really should never have housed those fish together.
Its really neat that you chose two fish which really are such great representations of cichlids :)

...but you should have researched your action more thoroughly. You need to weigh out your options a lot more to mkf.
The fact that there are eggs? that makes it much worse.

keep the con pair. Seeing the determination of the pair is a sight to behold.
take the EBJD back for some nice store credits.

remember to look after the eggs and fry as well as you can. that will be your redemption.

look up some fungicides, they might come in handy
