i heard they're pretty pricey. what's the going rate for these?

Dude I have been wanting to get one too. All the places here have them at around the same size. Like 1.5 to 2 inches. The cheapest I have seen one was $30.00 and the most expensive one I have seen was like $50. For that size IMO that is a little too expensiv tho. I want to get one but the fish I have now are either bigger than it would be or way bigger than it would be. So I dont know. Let me know how yours works out.

they are exspensive.........i've seen them in the price range from $25-$55 just for a two incher...........i got offered $150 for my 6 incher..............

post some pics pleaze

My avatar is a pic of a healthy 2.5" ebjd. looking to put him in a 360 gallon soon if I can find the time to trade tanks! Anywayz they are more prone to death but they seem just as aggressive as the reg jd. Hollywood on aquabid sells great ones. I highly recommend his on aquabid.

I had 3 ebjds... they all died on me out of nowhere... stopped eating one night... one by one they all died.. I checked all of my parameters -perfectly fine... yeh... so i guess they are really fragile and without perfect care they could die.

Want healthy ebjds at a fair price go to aquabid and buy your ebjds from Hollywood. I did and my ebjd were 1.5" now hitting the 2" mark and they are all over the tank. They are currantly housed in a 29g with a female convict @ 1.75" and a Jaguar hitting the 2.5" mark. The blues were healthy and as I said all over the tank no shyness at all.
Also a good source for ebjd information is on this sight

Finally here is my 2 ebjd's taken about 3 weeks ago or there abouts

yeh! i heard once past 4" they should be fine,

yeah the bluejax.co.uk is the best site out there for finding out more information! i got mine almost 4 monthes ago and one is growing at a decent pace, the other one is less dominant, their health deponds on breeders and tank up keep for the most part, great fish, mine are agressive and one person had pictures of a 10 inch one, so it just depends on the breeder again... good luck
