Everyone I know dosent have a problem with them not being aggressive. But when their babies and you put them with less aggressive fish and don't feed then other fish that in it self makes them less aggressive. Keep them alone untill their big enought to eat fish and feed them you'll be suprised how aggressive they actually are. You can even feed the small babies baby shrimp and baby guppies along with a few very small balls of raw meat. My friend dud this and put then in his 90 gallon community take and they killed his red Texas and hin reg jd but left the Oscar alone lol go figure.

Haha good one.

These fish are great and I don't see them as an aggressive fish. They can hold their own with other fish but mine is a lover not a fighter. Haha ok maybe not a lover but he is laid back for the most part.

I got mine at about 1" 5 months ago he is now 3" still growing. No where near as fast as my severum who I got a month later at 1" and that fish is 4" he is growing fast like a weed.

Yes great fish and lots of work to breed the right way. I saw some ebjd fry .5"-1" for $7 at my lfs. I almost wanted to buy another.

Do you still breed ebjd i have one, but i am not sure if he has popeye. one of his eyes look dif then the other, the clear part of the eye looks like it is popped out, but the eye looks the same size as the other one just the clear bubble part is bigger, maybe a little cloudy but really hard to see, have to be in the right angle with the light to see it.. wondering if that sounded like popeye to you since im sure you have seen it before.. a pic wont work since you cant see it, have to be in right angle.

anyway thanks hope you understand what i said lol.
