Electric blue jack Dempsey advice

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
people say they are very hard to keep alive, but mine is easy to care for.

from my experience, they aren't very good at standing up for themselves, very little aggression . . . so, in your 65G tank they would be at the bottom of the pecking order, easily losing out to your other fish

in other words, I think it would die, either from being harassed or from being out-competed for food . . .

it also sounds like your tank is already heavily stocked, and adding an EBJD - - which could grow to a decent 8" or so if it lives - - was not a good idea . . . unless this is some sort of grow-out tank and you have something larger planned for later?

^ Agreed, ebjd do best kept alone or with other fish that can't compete with it.

EBJD's are not sterlie. And listen to everyone above, the EB will be very stressed with that many tank mates. If you were to get him his own tank with some smaller peaceful fish it would be worth it, very beautiful fish.

mine is the most aggressive out of all the fish in my tank i had to move it from the oscar tank because it was such a bully.
