Thats true alright! I had a group of them before and always felt they did better in a species tank only but thats just my opinion! It may have worked out for you but mixing EBJD's with Puffers isnt a good idea imo! EBJD's are so weak and fragile when at a young age!!! We all know certain mixes go better for some people than what is the so called 'norm'?
I have to say it depends on the individual EBJD and how much is it able to get strong and endure...
I have had an EBJD for almost 3 months now... he's about 2" but sorta stopped growing... i think its gonna be a stump fish for life... anyways.. point is...
EBJDs are very sensitive fish and does take time to adjust.. especially if you have young fish like that... I would say to test let them be for a while in your 30 gallon tank.. and just see..
Puffers on the other hand... it sorta a 50/50... it does seems like u have alot of hiding spot for the EBJDs.... but it depends on if the EBJDs will grow.... some rarely will grow...
I' suggest.. test it out.. and monitor the behavior ... and after a while.. decided.... u wont know until you've given it a real test...
