Very nice pics and videos. I have access to a group of blue genes all different bloodlines and im thinkin of swooping them up. they've already been breedin for last year or so producing BG and ebjd. I also noticed in the Bg's im getting they have alot of red coloration on their forehead and upper body, and they're colors and spots are amazing. only thing is this guy wants $200 for one pair 5-7" and $500 for 7" male and 6 5" females. the 6 females are related to eachother, the two males and other female is unrelated. I am curious... is that price too high? ive seen ken davis sellin smaller bg pairs for 40$
The issue with pricing these fish is somewhat complex.
It's a time/money consuming process to get a strong EBJD, getting it to maturity, finding him a quality JD female that fits the male, then raising the Blue-Gene ones...
This takes TIME and several tanks...so pricing the Blue-Gene ones and the EBJD's is difficult, especially since we all attribute different money value to our time...

Great thread. I love the 125 set up with all the driftwood and the background. It works really well. The fish look magnificent in there. Very nice work and I enjoyed reading the thread a ton, as well as watching the progress.
