I was wondering how long these guys live because I have heard that they don't live long due to health problems, but if they live longer than I want one. Thanks.

If you get one from a good gene pool, I would expect to have similar results as a regular JD(8-10 years). My EBJD is about 2 years old, and still going strong. If you do get one, try to find out as much as you can about the breeder it came from. I believe if you can find a strong one(no inbreeding) , you'll have a lot better luck with it.

Most of them do have health problems! You just have to know what your getting, no inbreeding and stuff like that.
So if you get one that has health problems they will live a year or two if your lucky. If you get one that is strong and healthy you can it to live up to 7-10 years.

I know of an at least 8 year old ebjd purchased back in 2004 I believe. I have a 3 year old ebjd and 2 1 year olds. Do plenty of research and speak with those truly knowledgeable about them to select a good small blue or purchase on at least 2" already.

Think if you can get them to maturity, they'll live for a good long while. It's getting them there that can be tricky. It may be worth the extra money to buy a nice big one if you can find one.
