Hello all, I’ve had this ebjd for a little over 3 months and has been great. He’s in a 125 with a juvenile Oscar and severum (got all 3 at the same time). I started noticing last week that it’s been hiding a lot more than usual. It seemed to have developed a hump on its forehead, which I found to be enthralling since I’ve never seen an ebjd with one. When it tries to swim, it seems like it struggles to keep it self swimming of the sand while still being able to keep itself parallel to the ground. I’ve heard that they’ve always been ‘delicate’ fish but wanted to give it a try and see how it goes. I do a 70% water change bi weekly, as well as feed a variety of foods 2-3 times a day. Nitrates are below 10 at the moment and all seems well. I’m not sure if I should be concerned or not as l leave for boot camp in a little over a week and will be leaving my dad in charge of the rank for the upcoming months. Should I be worried?? Should I let thing go as normal? Should I take it out and medicate it? Keep in mind i leave for boot camp in a little over a week! I’ll be keeping a closer eye on it this week and see for any change in its behavior. Any help on this would be great, thanks!
