Sounds like the severum will work from what other members said. Idk about different max sizes but I think it'll work out ok regardless.

spotted pictus are pretty cool active little guys, i wouldnt add a gibbi myself as they get huge, get a mini gibbi aka L001 top out at 12 inch but mine is about 4 yrs old and 8 inch, look pretty much the same as gibbi but a slightly different pattern.

As far as a severum with your EBJD, a lot depends on whether it will be one year or two years imo, and to a degree what type of severum (rotkeils tend to stay slightly smaller than some other types ime, along the lines of 8+ inches compared to 10+ ). After a year if you have a 5 or 6 inch EBJD and 4-6 inch sev, not so bad if they get along together, but after two years if you have a 8 inch EBJD and 8,9 inch severum, both still with a little growing to do (just slower after that) it's going to be pretty tight.

Thanks guys, that should be fine if the larger growing out period takes a while, we plan on getting a bigger tank anyhow when we get a proper mortgaged home, at present we're in a rental and don't want to get anything to massive!
Personally I would call a 180litre tank small but the landlord might consider it on the large side
