Keep a group of 3 Clown Loaches and Get about 2 EBJD's then upgrade.
I wouldn't drop them down to any less than 5 or 6. I feel bad keeping mine in a group of 4...I need some more clowns

Thanks for everyones opinion. I have done some research on my fishes. For sure, one thing is it will take the loaches forever to grow, and that once it gets to about 5 to 6", their growth rate slows down drastically, thats why you dont see many larger clown loaches selling at pet shops. Secondly, on the EBJD, i read that they can be kept in 40G tanks and even breed. I do have a big tank ready, but wont be setting it up for another 4 months. I think by then I should be fine. Its a 65G tank. My main concern is will the fishes get along. Buying a big used tank in my area isnt too hard to find.

You wont have any success in breeding EBJD,

They have to be bred back with standard jack dempseys

Oh I know how it works....done enuff research. If my BGJD from 74RAY isnt really BGJD, then i guess im going to have to get a regular one breed it, get some BGJD, then inbreed those to get EBJD....doing this as a hobbist...but some extra cash would be nice....
