Im thinking about picking about 3 or 4 up to put in my 75. ive only seen juvis though. does anyone have pics of them as adults? i would love to see wut they look like when they get older.

Thing about them, the majority of them do not live past 4". They have the tendency to die for no reason. However I would love to see some big ones. Id love a big one for my female JD.

I have 3 mine arent adults yet tho. My largest right now is like 3.5.
Just go to google and type in Electric Blue Jack Dempsey. And the images of course and youll find some adults. I'm power feeding mine, i want them to get as big as possible lol

Dont be heartbroken if they die... Biggest I've ever gotten one was 7" all of the ones ive had have died from reasons unknown. I believe its just from the inbreeding thats been done to get their strains. Although, I could be wrong.

lol when i get mine im gona power feed them like crazy. wuts the growth rate on them? i hope mine live past 4 inches

Here's mine, he's about 7"s or so in total length

Don't powerfeed, just keep the water clean and feed them veggie flakes/NLS Thera + A and you shouldn't run into problems with them.

My largest one right now is actually 4" lol, extremely healthy fish. Their not going anywhere anytime soon lol. They do grow relatively slow tho. gator your 7" specimen is great. But i don't feed hardly any of my fish flakes as they don't hardly get any protein out of them. I only give my Africans flakes every week and a half to two weeks.

What i feed my EBJDs
Frozen: bloodworms, mysis shrimp, beefheart, brine shrimp, and small pieces of krill.
Live: small pieces of red wiggler worms (trout worms)

I feed them twice a day. I feed everything once a week except for bloodworms, feed those on mon and tues
