Electric blue jack not eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the advice guys. It seems like my ebjd is coming out of its hiding place a lot more. It is at least showing interest in the floating pellets that I'm feeding it. To answer your question Endo, my tank has been running for over a year. I make sure that the ammonia and nitrite is at zero and the nitrates to be no more than 25 ppm. Your jack is beautiful btw.

Brand new the hobby myself and I also have a new EBJD in my 55 gallon with 2 blood parrots. Mine eats a ton of food. I feed it Spirulina flakes for two days and Hikari blood worms one day and I can already notice him/her growing.

Mine also came to the tank with ick so perhaps yours has something as well. Once it got healthy though, it has been a champ. They are beautiful, good luck!

I'm currently feeding it sinking pellets and it seems to be working. Its still a bit scared of eating at the top, but it seems to be comfortable eating at the bottom.

They are big hiders forsure, I've had mine for 5 months and there just starting actually stay out all day , I went through the hole hard feeding stage as well they still wont eat pellets or guppies just blood worms and shrimp. They also grow so darn slow its crazy but worth it.
