sorry they grow pretty slow like normal jack dempseys

you can't beat that color but these fish all ways look like crap as far as shape and fins go not sure if i'd ever buy one mabye if i could find one that didn't look deformed

Hey Hotfishgirls, is that the EBJD I sold you about 4 months back? He looks like he lost some weight.

Regular JDs grow faster than Electric Blues.

Heres some crappy pics of my two.

first of all, africans and americans don't mix. second, 1 water change a week should be your minimum. one every two weeks just doesn't cut it.

He didn't say that the Electric Blue Dempsey and the Frontosa were in the same tank. Also, most Africans cichlid species that live outside of the rift lakes can do very well with Central and South American cichlids. Paratilapia polleni, for example, is commonly kept in new world cichlid community tanks. Finally, depending on stocking levels and tank size, one water change every two weeks can be enough. Since he isn't asking why his fish are all sick, I am he has a relatively large, understocked tank, especially since electric blue jack dempseys tend to be very fragile.
