That's not a huge surprise. Most LFS nowadays just stock generic stuff that's being farm-raised because it's cheaper. They may also be able to get them but there's been no demand for them. Most LFS have long lists of fish they can order from but they will only bring in stuff they know will sell. You could always ask.
Seriously though, the best way to get any quality stock is just to order it online. Jeff Rapps @ Tangled Up in Cichlids has these in stock right now and he offers very cheap shipping to PA, considering he's only in NJ.
