who has them, because im thinking about getting one.
whats there growth rate like, is frozen brine shrimp, frozen blood worms, earth worms, and market shrimp a good diet.
what is the actual risk of getting hurt by one of these guys
what would be the min tank size for an adult?

I have one about 18" long. He pigs out on feeder gold fish. I tried tilapia. He wouldn't eat it. His belly really bulges out when he eats. He hides around the side of the over flow, in a 6" space between the over flow and the end of the tank. I've seen him cruising for food at night. He is in a 135gal. tank by himself. I didn't want to deal with mooving him any too soon. Cool fish to have.

have you noticed much growth on him?

I think about 2" in 3 months. Hard to tell. I had 2 in the tank. one died. We had a hot spell and then a drop in temp. My heater wasn't set high enouph. The water went to about 68 deg. I noticed they bleached out and found the tank was cold. Otherwise the other Eel may have zapped him. One was. bigger than the other. I don't know which one died. I think they grow pretty fast. That's why I put them in a 6' long tank. They sure eat a lot.
