Was trying to rearrange my tanks light when I dipped my hands into the aquarium I got a shock, I unplugged the, lights and tried again still got shocked , how do I find what's causing the electric shock? I unplugged all the other stuff except the power head in my sump. Also noticed it doesn't seem to have effect on my fish? How do I find what's causing the shock?

I had a submersible pump that would shock me when I stuck my hand in the water. Fish didn't seem to mind but I sure did. I would suggest checking the powerhead also because they can fail. A friend of mine had one catch fire thankfully he was home and caught it before anything serious happend.

Because the fish aren't grounded, is why they seem to not be affected. (doesn't mean they are not though, stray voltage is linked to stress, and therefore can be a cause of disease)
Just about any plugged in piece of gear can do it. Heaters seem to be common in my tanks, because the fish occasionally attack and crack them.
I use grounding probes in my tanks to take the sting out, and subdue the shock, cheap price to pay.
The AWWA had a chart in one of their monthly news letters a few years back, on how to avoid a heart attack from shock, was a bit of an eye opener.
