"Electric Yellow" fry ???

well they have been digging pits, but my WC disturb them so maybe thats the problem. i will try going a couple weeks and see if they start breeding and holding. i have seen some shimmy by some of the males, but i have had flukes in the tank in the past, so i thought maybe it was the flukes. Since i haven't seen any fry, i didnt suspect much. I guess i really thought they were too small to breed yet to. i will start giving them the chance and keep you updated. thx for the tips

I forgot to say that for Cichlids all I have it the 55g tank is 1 male powder blue and 9 Electric yellows with only 2 yellow males, and the rest female. (should have 1 male to 4-5 females ratio ). Aslo what is the temp in your tank? Mine is 79.

I do monthly water changes of 50%. I only keep 1 inch of gravel in my tank too. Works great.

Yes if they are breeding then your water is good. So yes skip a water change & just feed sparingly.
