Electric Yellow Labs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they fish are at least 2 inches each now, and it seems that the one yellow lab with most black on it is getting really friendly with the lab with the least amount of black on it. the one with black has been somewhat chasing the other one in a circle and the other lab seems to not only be swimming away, but also following where the black one swam. possible breeders?

I just noticed my first babies 2 days ago mine are just over an inch and there are little ones that just dart out for food and hide again. I have soo much carved tuffa rock in the tank that they should live till they reach adult hood. I wish I could get them out but I will just take out the females when they are holding next time.

Not only possible, but likely positively.
Watch them closely and you might even see the female drop and egg, wait for the male to go over it to fertilize it, and pick it up in her mouth afterwards.
Then the process repeats until you have so many rabbits (I mean labs. :D), you don't what to do.
Once they start, they are like the energizer bunny. They keep on going and going.
Congrats. (I think) :D

well i don't know what the deal is. i can't tell wether or not the "female" has eggs in her mouth. all i can tell is that "she" is staying away from all the other fish in the tank and gets really agressive when anyone else comes near her. but it doesn't look like she is carrying because she is still eating. possible she swallowed the eggs? if that is the case, how much longer until she breeds again?
