I don't know about all that stuff to go wrong with it....Simplicity is best when it comes to heaters I believe...

the Dr's sells it for 50 and shipping BTW...


However,
a "UL listed" appliance is a much better choice when it comes to water and electricity...
VisiTherm STEALTH, all the way, and they are "UL Listed"

yah , iam going with the visitherm because it is UL listed and i can buy it from my lfs .

By the definition of it's description, a 100W heater will draw 100W of power when it's on. Best to reduce the amount of time it's on if you want to save power which is, as has already been posted, insulating your tank well. For cheap insulation, try bubble wrap.

I run many of them they are a good choice. In my observation though visi therm stealth heaters run about half as much on dr foster smith as they do at the LFS cost wise....

Even with shipping, they are cheaper @ the Dr.'s than my LFS...

Shoot they run about 23 bucks for a 250 watt heater on Dr fosters
At petsmart they are 42 bucks
LFS.. 44 bucks lol

Is the fluval E series UL listed I thought it was??
