W e are all just giving our opinion, thats what this is all about, and one of mine is that it is unfair to give the benefit of the doubt to the champ if he was outfought.I'm glad you didnt say that Forrest didnt win because he did win.My no win comment was in referrence to Kimbo.

I understand your point, but I'm saying that not everyone thought that Forrest won, some thought that the fight could have gone to Rampage, and in that case I would give the fight to the current champ, because I think that the challenger has to prove that he's better.

I guess you could say it was a no-win for Kimbo, but really it's because he's not due any respect yet, as far as mma goes. Whether he won or lost really wouldn't have changed my opinion, because the fight was garbage right from the start. When he starts fighting real fights, and shows some skills, then he'll get the credit, but I'm not sure that will happen.

I think anyone who makes it to the level of carrying a show deserves respect, like him or not he is why most of the viewers tuned in and he put the butts in the seats. There is a lot of talk about fighters going against others in some kind of rank system but with this guys limited experience he would be at the bottom of any rankings if they were done correctly,so who is he supposed to fight, someone at his rank level, doesnt make the fight garbage nor qualifies it as a fight that is not real.He didnt roll around on a mat since childhood learning grappling and jiu jitsu but what he does bring to the table,a lot of people want to see and this is what is needed for such shows to continue to get mainstream airplay.

Thoughts:

EliteXC is garbage.

The fact that Arlovski even had to get in the ring with that guy is ridiculous.

Kimbo is a joke, but to say that the other guy had good technique, or a good strategy is silly, he just caught him with a punch.

I only saw parts of it. But I agree. In fact got the Kimbo fight details from a friend today who was laughing his arse off.. And of course I was too. They need to send that guy back to whatever his previous job was.

I saw that Arvlovski fight and that was a joke. Loved how they were talking Arlovski's opponent up talking about his talent. They need to rename EliteXC to FatArseXC. Seriously do these guys train? Or eat cookies and drink beer prior to?

Kimbo is only in because he was supposed to be the next big thing and already had a following, you know "Guy off the street who has mad fight talent" but he kinda get's a fail.

This is not true. Just because "carrying" a show does not mean he deserves respect. When you look at the facts, EliteXC is barely a show, and they'll be bankrupt soon, and Kimbo does not belong headlining a show. They were trying to sell a freak show in Kimbo, and to some extent they were successful, but that doesn't earn my respect. I mean look at the card, they had Andrei Arlovski fighting under Kimbo Slice. Arlovski is a former UFC belt-holder, and could still be in big fights if he was in the UFC. They were selling a circus, not real mma, and that's why I don't respect him, and frankly, he's proving me right.

How,because he lost?Everyone does at some point. We are all aware that Arlovski is a top worldclass fighter but would he have filled that arena to the capacity that it was had Kimbo not been on the card?

You have to look at his record. He hasn't beaten anyone worth mentioning, and he got beat by a guy really not worth mentioning.

Arlovski has "carried" a card, he was the headline fight in more than a few UFC PPV's. Also, there is a major difference between EliteXC free tv, and UFC ppv's, and Arlovski is capable of headlining both.
